Built for every trade
TrueScale for security installers
Every trade works differently. TrueScale ships with tool sets built for security installers. Markup, measure, estimate and link to Excel in one place.
Draft wording. This page's wording is waiting for approval.
Security takeoffs are devices and the cable between them: cameras, sensors, keypads and readers on every floor. TrueScale counts each device with its own symbol and measures cable runs along the route you draw.
What security installers mark up and measure
- Cameras, motion sensors, keypads, card readers, door contacts and sirens, counted with their own symbols.
- Security cable, measured as lengths along the route you click.
- Your own tools for anything else you price, kept in the Tool Chest.
The security tool set
TrueScale comes with a starter security tool set in the Tool Chest. Every tool is an example to start from: rename it, change its colour, symbol, spec and rate, or build your own set and share it with your team. Each tool fills in the Markups List (subject, spec and rate), ready to total and price.
| Tool | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Cameras | count, with its own symbol |
| Motion sensors | count, with its own symbol |
| Keypads | count, with its own symbol |
| Card readers | count, with its own symbol |
| Door contacts | count, with its own symbol |
| Sirens | count, with its own symbol |
| Security cable | length |
