Every version, its date and what changed. Every update is included in the licence you already own.

TrueScale 0.30.10: 3D View, Presentation Mode and demo drawings

4 Nov 2026

  • Tools > 3D View (first version): your takeoff in 3D. Walls rise from length measurements to their wall height, floors and ceilings come from area measurements, and doors and windows are cut out of the walls they sit on. You can: - drag to orbit, right-drag to pan, and use the wheel to zoom; - switch to Isometric, Top, Front or Side; - Explode the layers apart, or stack an upper floor from another page; - show or hide each subject, and set its role; - see totals per subject (wall area after openings); - use a checker that lists walls with no height and openings that are not on a wall; - double-click a face to select its markup on the page, and Export PNG. The view follows the page as you draw.
  • Demo drawings: two made-up sets ship with TrueScale, a two-storey house (8 sheets) and a café fit-out (6 sheets), with every sheet's scale already set, plus the house with its takeoff done.
  • TrueScale --demo opens the demo house on a demo profile of its own (Presentation Mode, the Takeoff layout, a short Tool Chest). Your own settings, Tool Chest and recent files are never touched.
  • Preferences > Admin: the update source box no longer shows a placeholder web address.
  • Privacy: logs, crash logs and Help > Send Log Files never hold a file name or folder any more. Paths are replaced by a short code, so support can still tell two files apart.

TrueScale 0.30.9: tool bars your way

4 Nov 2026

  • Three layouts for the tool bars (right-click a tool bar, or Preferences > Interface > Tools bar): Single column (the default: one column, ▲ ▼ to scroll one tool when they do not all fit), Show all (as many columns as it takes, nothing to scroll) and Auto-hide (a thin strip at the edge that slides the tools out when you point at it; the pin keeps them out). The arrows only appear when the tools do not fit.
  • Customise (right-click > Customise...): tick the tools you want, drag to reorder, add separators and named groups, Reset to default; the bar changes as you go. Hidden tools still work by their shortcuts and from the menus.
  • Share a layout: right-click > Export Layout... / Import Layout... so a whole office can use the same setup. Each profile keeps its own, through restarts and updates.
  • TrueScale now fits a 1366 x 768 screen at 200 % display scaling.
  • Help: "Tool bars: layout and Customise" and "Working from home or site".

TrueScale 0.30.8

4 Nov 2026

  • Line styles are shown as pictures in Properties, the Properties toolbar and Line Styles: each style drawn in the markup's own colour and width, the chosen one on the closed box too (its name as the tooltip).
  • The tool bar no longer has a scroll bar. When there are more tools than fit, a small ▲ above and ▼ below scroll one row per click (hold to keep going, or use the mouse wheel); the tools get the bar's full width. A tool picked by its shortcut scrolls into view.
  • Spin arrows answer every click: a click that slipped off the small arrow before the mouse button came up was lost.

TrueScale 0.30.7: big scanned sets open in a fraction of the memory, and faster

4 Nov 2026

  • A 400 MB scanned set now opens in under 500 MB of memory (it took 2.8 GB) and in about a second (3 s before). Saving it needs 2.2 GB at most (3.6 GB before) and is faster too. Image-heavy PDFs gain the same way. Saved files are byte for byte what they were; signed files are still saved as an update that keeps their signatures valid.
  • Pages with thousands of markups zoom much faster: on a page of 20,000 markups each zoom step now takes a few milliseconds to redraw the drawing underneath (1.5 s before).
  • TrueScale Server: from launch it will accept TrueScale one version back, with a "please update" banner, so an office can update its PCs over a few days.

TrueScale 0.30.6: big scanned sets use far less memory; damaged files handled better

4 Nov 2026

  • Large scanned sets and image-heavy PDFs use much less memory. TrueScale now keeps only the pages you are looking at ready in memory, and gives freed memory back to Windows sooner: on a 400 MB, 50-sheet scanned set about 1 GB less.
  • Dates kept when a file opens: when TrueScale redraws captions an earlier version drew upside down on a rotated page, each markup keeps the date in the file, so Undo after an edit gives that date back (bug 6).
  • TrueScale Server: its database library updated for a published security advisory.

TrueScale 0.30.5

4 Nov 2026

  • A Circle Area now stays a circle while you drag it. Before, it was drawn as a twisted shape during the drag (at high zoom it seemed to vanish) and only looked right after you let go. Curved polylines, cut-outs, pen strokes, highlights and call-out leaders also follow the mouse exactly while being moved.
  • TrueScale Server: safer pairing and sign-in (after an independent security review). Pairing codes are now 10 characters (for example 7K2QX-9M4TD) and TrueScale shows the server's fingerprint while you pair, so you can check it matches the server's page. Repeated wrong codes or passwords lock pairing or sign-in for 15 minutes. Update TrueScale and TrueScale Server together: an older TrueScale cannot pair with the new server.

TrueScale 0.30.4

3 Nov 2026

  • Behind the scenes: business buyers can be charged without GST when they give a valid ABN, purchases with an unknown discount are checked before a licence goes out, a licence email that failed to send is sent again, and a refund that arrives early is never lost.

TrueScale 0.30.2: metric or imperial from the start, wall heights read as you mean them

3 Nov 2026

  • One question at the first start: metric or imperial, pre-filled from your Windows region. Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and Europe start metric; the United States starts imperial. The choice also sets the paper size of new documents (A4 or Letter), the currency of estimates and quotes (AUD, NZD, GBP, EUR, USD) and the tax line on quotes (GST, VAT, Sales tax). Dates and the decimal separator on estimates follow Windows.
  • Preferences > General > Units (and Estimating > Currency & Tax) change all of it, with Reset to my region. Updating from an older version changes nothing.
  • Wall heights: a bare number is never read as millimetres by accident. On a metric drawing, 2.7 and 2700 are both 2.7 m (up to 50 is metres, above is millimetres). On an imperial drawing a bare number is feet. A unit you type always wins. The box shows how it was read ("2.70 m", "8' 6\"").

TrueScale 0.30.1

3 Nov 2026

  • Certify asks first: on a document with no empty signature fields, Certify offers "Add signature fields for other signers" (draw one per person who signs after you) or "Certify without them".
  • Wall heights are yours to type: the example tool sets no longer carry preset wall heights. Type a wall height on a length or polylength tool (Tool Properties) or on each markup (Properties), in any unit: 2.7 m, 2700 mm, 8' 6". It can be anything from 0.01 m up, with no upper limit. A height typed while the tool is chosen becomes its default. Wall Area (length x height) shows in the Markups List and its totals. Example wall tools you have not changed lose their old preset once.
  • Help > Send Log Files now always makes a zip of the logs and system information on your Desktop and opens an email to support naming it (it used to open the log folder).

TrueScale 0.29.5: trade tool sets

3 Nov 2026

  • Starter tool sets for builders and estimators, electrical, plumbing, insulation, fire systems and security are in the Tool Chest from the start (and added once to an existing Tool Chest; delete any you do not need). Every tool is an example: rename it, change it, put in your own rates.
  • New sets: Builder and estimator (floor and roof areas, external and internal walls, slab, boundary, doors, windows) and Security (cameras, motion sensors, keypads, card readers, door contacts, sirens, cable). Fire systems now has sprinkler heads and pipe, smoke and heat detectors, manual call points and fire-rated walls.
  • Wall runs: a run tool can carry a wall height, so drawing along a wall gives its wall area straight away.
  • Nine new count symbols of our own: sprinkler head, heat detector, manual call point, camera, motion sensor, keypad, card reader, door contact, siren.

TrueScale 0.29.4

3 Nov 2026

  • Logo: the small icon is used at 16 and 24 px (title bars, taskbar); the colour logos have a real hinge cut-out and the brand's dark letters.

TrueScale 0.29.3: the new TrueScale logo

2 Nov 2026

  • The new logo everywhere: TrueScale's icon (title bars, taskbar, Alt+Tab, the installer), the About box and the splash screen (white letters on the dark theme, black on light), TrueScale Server (its icon and its status page's tab icon) and the TrueScale tab in Excel ("Open in TrueScale" and "About").

TrueScale 0.29.2: signatures stay valid

2 Nov 2026

  • Certified documents: what the certification allows (markups, forms and signatures; or forms and signatures; or nothing) is accepted and the certification stays valid. Anything else is refused with a message that says what it allows and what was changed; nothing is saved.
  • Validate Signatures says what was changed since each signature ("changes since, allowed: adding signatures and adding, changing or deleting markups"), and flags changes a certification does not allow.
  • The questions before signing an already-signed file are gone, and Batch > Sign & Seal signs files that are already signed. Only a password-protected file is still written whole (signing it again still breaks its earlier signatures, and you are asked first).

TrueScale 0.29.1: Form Editor, signature extras, templates

2 Nov 2026

  • Automatically Create Form Fields finds labelled boxes, tick boxes and underlines. They are outlined on the page and listed with a tick each; Create makes the ticked ones as one undo step.
  • Timestamps: Preferences > Signatures > "Add a timestamp from a timestamp server when signing" (off by default), with the server's address. The server's RFC 3161 token goes into the signature, and validation shows its time.
  • Trusted Identities (Tools > Signature): trust a certificate from a file, or the signer of the open document. Signatures by them then show as Valid.
  • Batch > Sign & Seal: one digital ID signs many PDFs. You choose the page (last or first), the corner, reason, location and signature type (approval or certification), and where the signed copies go: next to each file as "name (signed).pdf", in a folder, or replacing each file.
  • File > New PDF from Template: blank A4, A3, A1, Letter, Tabloid and ARCH D, then your own templates. Also Save As Template, Delete Template, Import Template and Change Template Folder (e.g. a shared folder for the team).
  • Capture (markup right-click menu): the selected markup's look is copied to the current tool, so the next markups drawn look the same.
  • Signing a document that is already signed now asks first: signing it again in TrueScale makes the earlier signature show as invalid, because the file is written again. Sign & Seal leaves signed files as they are.

TrueScale 0.29.0: edit the PDF's own content

2 Nov 2026

  • Edit > PDF Content > Edit Text: click the page's text to edit its line or paragraph in place. The same font is used where it has every character; otherwise a matching Windows font (embedded) or a standard font, and the status bar says which.
  • Select Content (box or lasso), then Delete, Cut (Ctrl+X) or Copy (Ctrl+C); Cut Content and Erase Content (only what lies under the box goes); Snapshot Content (the page without its markups).
  • Check Spelling in PDF Content (Tools > Check Spelling): the pages' own text, with Change editing the line.
  • Each edit is one undo step. Other pages, markups and their appearances are kept exactly as they were.

TrueScale 0.28.0: your requests from the hands-on test

2 Nov 2026

  • Calibration check: the question after Calibrate has "Don't show this again". Preferences > Tools > Measure turns it back on.
  • TrueScale Server: - Two people on one PC: each window keeps the account it opened the file with; File > TrueScale Server > Switch User chooses who new files open as. Sign-in tokens are encrypted for your Windows account. - Markups made in server files are signed with your server display name (Preferences > General). - First set-up from TrueScale (File > TrueScale Server > Set Up a Server): admin, projects and users, with no browser and no certificate warning. - A save made on an older version is merged by markup id, never over what others saved; when pages changed you are asked (save as a copy, merge the markups, cancel). - A live markup on a layer you lack brings that layer. - Live messages say added, moved, edited or deleted; the Servers window shows at once ("Searching...") and closes after Open; View > TrueScale Server; the live status no longer covers the X/Y readout; Check In and Undo Check Out only when the file is checked out to you. - The server: Backup and Restore on its page, a daily backup to a folder, and an update check (one click on Windows). It always has TrueScale's version.

TrueScale 0.27.1: Select Text

2 Nov 2026

  • Select Text: a drag started straight after choosing the tool (Shift+T), before the page's text had been read, selected only the word under the release. It now always starts at the character you pressed on.

TrueScale 0.27.0: TrueScale Server

2 Nov 2026

  • Memory: the Markups List no longer rebuilds its columns on every edit. Each rebuild made the list's grid make all its rows again, and the grid keeps a little memory for every row it ever made. Over a two-hour session this came to about 30 MB.
  • Document Properties > Modified showed the time a signed file was opened, not when it was last changed. This happened when the file's date was kept in an earlier part of the file (files signed or edited in other programs). It now shows the file's own date.

TrueScale 0.26.1: memory

1 Nov 2026

  • Memory no longer grows the longer you work. Each time the selection changed kind (a measurement, then a rectangle, then nothing) the Properties toolbar was rebuilt and the old one was kept in memory, about 12 MB a minute of steady work: after an hour or two TrueScale could use several GB. Old toolbars are now released; a long session holds steady at about 400 MB.

TrueScale 0.26.0: TrueScale Link for Excel, wall area

1 Nov 2026

  • Wall Area: a volume's walls (its perimeter x its depth), and for wall runs a new Wall height in Properties on Length, Polylength and Perimeter measurements: Wall Area = the run x its height. The Markups List's Wall Area column is now available, with group totals.

TrueScale 0.25.0: Export to Excel and Word

1 Nov 2026

  • File > Export > Excel Workbook / Word Document > Entire Document... turns PDF pages into editable files. TrueScale reads each page as a document: words, lines, paragraphs and headings, tables drawn with lines (merged cells included) and tables set in columns without lines, two-column pages in reading order, and pictures.
  • Excel: a sheet per page (or per table; tables only if you like). Numbers stay numbers: "12,899.23" becomes 12899.23, money keeps its currency format, percentages and units are kept, and a unit a whole column shares gets a column of its own. Merged cells are merged, header rows are bold, and column widths follow the PDF. Optionally the Markups List as a sheet.
  • Word: a section per page with its size and margins; fonts, sizes, bold, italic and colours; headings as Word headings; tables as Word tables; pictures in place. A drawing sheet becomes one picture of the page with its text after it. Pages turned in the PDF come out as they are shown, pictures included.
  • The dialog says which pages look like drawings and which are scans without text, and offers to OCR the scans first.

TrueScale 0.24.0: hardening

1 Nov 2026

  • Crash safety: if TrueScale ends during an autosave (a crash, End task, a power cut), the last recovery copy is always still there to restore; before, an autosave removed the old copy before the new one was complete. Saved files reach the disk before they replace the old one, and temp files left by a save that was cut short are cleaned up.
  • Colour on a selection that includes text boxes or call-outs no longer recolours their fill (their colours are their own Fill, Text and Border colours).
  • Zoomed in on big sheets, the part of the page on screen stays sharp: it is no longer dropped from memory before parts off screen.

TrueScale 0.23.3: dragging leaves every other markup in place

1 Nov 2026

  • Dragging a markup no longer makes the other markups on the page jump, stretch or disappear while you drag (they were only drawn in the wrong place on screens scaled above 100 %; nothing was ever moved in the file). Text keeps the same look while you drag.
  • A call-out's outline now includes its leader after its box is moved, so the arrow tip stays visible when you zoom in on it.
  • Markups List: number columns widen to fit their totals (a group line's area is no longer cut off); any other text too long for its column ends in "..." and shows the full text when you hover over it.

TrueScale 0.23.2: printing form fields and signatures, paper size, file details

1 Nov 2026

  • Printing now includes form field values and visible signature boxes, as on screen.
  • Paper starts at the drawing's own size (A4 for an A4 drawing, never Letter); Batch Print starts on All pages.
  • Saved files say TrueScale made them (Creator and Producer, in the file details and its XMP); PDFsharp is still credited in About.
  • Document Properties shows when the file was created; a PDF without its own dates shows the file's dates (it no longer shows the time you opened it).
  • Redacted JPEG pictures are saved at their own quality. Headings on the Links, Forms and Signatures panels; clearer wording for Apply Stamp, Publish As Uncompressed and the redaction note (Edit > PDF Content > Apply Redactions).

TrueScale 0.23.1

1 Nov 2026

  • Save warns when redaction marks have not been applied yet.
  • Updates come from https://updates.gettruescale.com/ on every PC (this PC still uses its own release folder).
  • The welcome tour has new wording. The right-hand toolbars keep their last column clear of the scroll bar.

TrueScale 0.23.0: the last "coming later" items that needed no sample

1 Nov 2026

  • Document Properties (Document menu): title, author, subject and keywords, saved with the file; dates, application, size and pages shown.
  • Links, Forms and Signatures panels (Window > Panels): the document's links, form fields and signatures (checked when the panel opens; Validate checks again); a click goes to the item.
  • Highlight form fields (Tools > Form > Highlight, Ctrl+F7). Apply Stamp to the selected thumbnails' pages.
  • Batch > Print: many PDFs with one print dialog. Publish As Uncompressed: a copy you can read in a text editor.
  • Archive as PDF/A now also embeds the Chinese and Korean caption fonts (SimSun, Malgun Gothic), so drawings with 坪 or 평 captions pass too.

TrueScale 0.22.1: Zoom Tool and Lasso

1 Nov 2026

  • Zoom Tool (View): click to zoom in, Shift+click out, drag a box to zoom to it; Toggle Zoom Tool goes back.
  • Lasso (Select): draw round markups to select them.

TrueScale 0.22.0: more of what was "coming later"

1 Nov 2026

  • Select Text (Shift+T): drag across a drawing's own text, or click a word; Ctrl+C copies it; Select All Text (Ctrl+Shift+A); Mark Text for Redaction (Shift+K) marks the selected lines.
  • Undo History (Edit menu): undo back to any step. Remove From Group. Refresh Document reads the file again. Split Document for the open document. Menu Bar (F9) hides or shows the menus. Learn What's New (Help).

TrueScale 0.21.1: precise redaction, first-run tour

1 Nov 2026

  • Apply Redactions removes only what is under the boxes: words are cut letter by letter, lines at the box's edges, filled shapes keep their parts outside it.
  • A short tour on the first start (Help > Welcome to TrueScale shows it again).

TrueScale 0.21.0: PDF/A with embedded fonts

1 Nov 2026

  • Archive as PDF/A embeds the fonts a drawing leaves out (a subset), gives CMYK content a colour profile, removes what PDF/A forbids, and lists each check it made with a tick or cross.

TrueScale 0.20.1: automatic updates, your 0.20.0 test

1 Nov 2026

  • TrueScale looks for a newer version when it starts; "When I close" installs it when you close TrueScale.
  • The OCR dialog's buttons fit; status messages stay with their tab; form fields type in place; the window keeps its right edge on the screen.

TrueScale 0.20.0: feature complete

31 Oct 2026

  • Help (F1, Help > Help): a searchable page of every menu and command with its keys, opened at the tool you are using; things not built yet are marked.
  • A scripted "day as an estimator" (set, calibrate, measure, count, price, quote, summary, compare, save, reopen, text export) runs end to end in the tests. What is still to come, and why: out/POLISH.md; what TrueScale does now: out/FEATURE-COMPLETE.md.

TrueScale 0.19.0: forms and digital signatures

31 Oct 2026

  • Forms (Forms menu): Text Box, Tick Box, Radio Button, List Box, Dropdown, Button and Digital Signature fields, drawn as boxes; the Hand tool fills them (one undo step each); Export Data and Import Data as FDF, XFDF or CSV; Reset.
  • Digital signatures (Signatures menu): Sign Document (drag a box, choose a digital ID from Windows or a .pfx file); Validate Signatures says whether each signature is intact, covers the whole file, and whether the signer is trusted; Digital IDs lists yours. Saving changes to a signed document asks first (it makes the signatures invalid).

TrueScale 0.18.1

31 Oct 2026

  • Export Text, RTF and HTML (File > Export): the document's text, page by page (scanned pages after OCR).

TrueScale 0.18.0

31 Oct 2026

  • OCR (Document > OCR, Batch > OCR): scanned pages are read by Windows' own OCR and get an invisible text layer, so they can be searched, copied and text-compared; the page looks the same. Pages that already have text are skipped.
  • Redaction (Document > Redaction): Mark for Redaction drags red boxes; Apply Redactions removes for good what is under them (text, lines, the covered part of pictures, and markups there) and puts black boxes in their place.
  • Archive as PDF/A (File > Export, Document): a PDF/A-2b copy (colour profile, archive metadata, printable markups); anything that keeps it from being PDF/A (fonts that are not embedded, mostly) is listed.
  • Repair PDF (Document menu and the thumbnail menu): checks the file's structure, rebuilds it, and says what was wrong.
  • Reduce File Size (Document and Batch): pictures finer than the page needs are made smaller (four presets, from Lossless to Smallest), unused objects dropped, streams compressed; the sizes before and after are shown.
  • Compare Documents > Text: compares the words of two revisions; each change is clouded with what it said and says now ("Was: 900; now: 1000"), on its own or together with the drawing compare.
  • PDF Package (File > Create > PDF Package): files bundled into one PDF with a cover page; a package opened in TrueScale says so, and File > Package Files opens each file.
  • Export TIFF and BMP (File > Export): one multi-page TIFF, or a BMP per page.
  • Email (File > Email): the document as it is now, attached to a new message in your mail program.
  • Memory: windows of edited documents closed in the tests now give back their memory, and the program's icons no longer keep closed dialogs in memory.

TrueScale 0.16.0

31 Oct 2026

  • File Attachment: choose a file, click where it goes; the file travels inside the PDF. Open it or Save Attachment As from its right-click menu, or click its icon with the Hand tool.
  • Snapshot (G) and Copy Page to Snapshot (Ctrl+Alt+C): drag a box (or take the whole page); the drawing and its markups are copied as sharp vectors; Ctrl+V pastes it on any page or document.
  • Flags panel: every flag in the document, its page; click to go to it, Flag to add one, Delete.
  • Right-click menu: Open Pop-Up Note, Control Point (add or take away a point of a line or shape), Apply to Pages (copy markups onto other pages), Edit Action.
  • Check Spelling in markups, with Windows' own spell checker and dictionaries.
  • Crop Pages (by margins, Remove White Margins, Remove Crop), Batch > Crop & Page Setup and Batch > Rotate Pages.
  • Pen and touch: a pen's eraser end erases, two fingers pinch to zoom, a long press opens the right-click menu.
  • Curved segments and cut-outs now follow when a shape is resized, turned or flipped.
  • Memory: closing documents and windows gives all their memory back (a leak that grew with every document opened is fixed); PDF pages that were never closed properly are now released too.

TrueScale 0.15.1

31 Oct 2026

  • Markups List back at the bottom, across the whole window under the side panels, with its icon at the bottom left; click the icon or its header to collapse or expand it; drag its height; right-click its icon > Attach to move it.
  • Markups redraw live while you drag them: border, fill, text, line ends and measurement captions as they will be, with the dashed box and handles on top. Smooth on a page of 5,000 markups.
  • Compact number boxes: the number centred with its unit inside ("100 %", "1 pt"), the arrows inside the box's right edge.
  • Two toolbars, Markup and Measure, each with a grip: drag it to any edge of the page or let it float; right-click for show/hide, Customise and Reset. Both on the right by default. In a short window a toolbar uses a second column, then scrolls, so the page keeps its room.

TrueScale 0.15.0: Document pro

31 Oct 2026

  • Revisions line up by themselves. TrueScale finds the sheet frame and title block, the grid lines or the drawing itself, works out the shift, scale and quarter turn, and says how ("lined up by the title block, 98 %"). Turn Auto off to line up with 3 points by hand.
  • Compare Documents (Document menu): every difference on your page gets a cloud, green added, red removed, amber changed, on a "Compare" layer; step through them in the Differences list, Accept removes a cloud. Low / Normal / High sensitivity.
  • Overlay Pages (Document menu): your page and its revisions in one new document, each revision a coloured layer.
  • Batch Compare / Batch Overlay (Batch menu): two sets of PDFs, sheets paired by sheet number, results and a report (CSV) in a folder. Your files are never changed.
  • Slip Sheet (Batch menu): a new revision replaces the drawing of the sheet with the same number and your markups move onto the same spots (one Undo puts everything back); in a set the replaced drawing is kept in the sheet's history.
  • Page Labels from Region (Thumbnails right-click): drag a box round the sheet number once; every page gets its label.
  • Batch Link (Batch > Link > New): sheet numbers written on other sheets become links; click one with the Hand tool.
  • Batch jobs: Headers & Footers (with page, label, date and file tokens, and a watermark), Apply Stamp, Split Documents (by pages, bookmarks or labels), Flatten Markups over many files (with no document open); File > Combine (a bookmark per file); File > Export > PNG / JPEG. Results are always new files.
  • Speed: lining up two A1 sheets takes about 0.3 s, comparing them about 0.1 s.

TrueScale 0.14.1

31 Oct 2026

  • Hover info: rest the pointer on a markup to see its subject, label, measurement, count symbol, layer, author and date. Turn it off in Preferences > Interface > Display.
  • Readable Tool Chest tiles: a neutral tile with the icon in the tool's colour where it stands out, else a small colour chip; the same on the tools bar.
  • Fast keymap users: your digits 1-9 (Length, Area, Count, Polylength, Perimeter, Volume, Diameter, Angle, Radius) have been moved once into Recent Tools slots 1-9 (pinned), so the same keys start the same tools.
  • New icons (icon set 3) for zoom, rotate, page-only, the Estimate panel and several menu items; .tstools files show their own icon in Explorer and open in TrueScale's Tool Chest.

TrueScale 0.14.0

31 Oct 2026

  • Built-in estimating. Give a measurement an assembly's name as its Subject (or pick one in Properties > Assembly) and it is priced at once: materials and labour from your price list, waste, rounding, packs, mark-up or margin, a tax line. Estimate panel (Shift+Alt+E): group by assembly, page, layer, space, category or item; "Not priced" lists the rest.
  • Assemblies and Price Lists managers; import a supplier's price list from CSV or Excel with a column mapping; share your library as a .tslib file. An example library ("(example)") is there to start from.
  • The full TrueScale icon set (242 icons) everywhere: tools bar (in each tool's colour), toolbars, menus, navigation and status bar, Tool Chest, Markups List. Your own SVG of the same name in %AppData%\TrueScale\icons still replaces any.
  • Fixes: the quote and workbook save dialogs offered "CSV files"; a stack overflow in the managers' lists.

TrueScale 0.13.4

31 Oct 2026

  • Measurement captions: Caption position (Above / Below / Centred / Auto) and Caption offset in Properties and Tool Chest tool properties; Shift+drag moves a caption, Reset Caption Position puts it back.
  • Text boxes: drag shows the box as you draw it; padding, line and paragraph spacing, justify, vertical alignment, word wrap, auto-size, border colour and corner radius.
  • Every box tool sizes to the drag with a live preview; call-out boxes too (and fit their text).
